Since 1964, SERECT is equipped itself with a laboratory and the necessary testing resources for carrying out investigations and qualifications of its methods and tools.
This 300m2 laboratory has 300kV and 100kV test cells and carries out 50 tests per year. SERECT testing laboratory carries out several activities such as :
The performance of electrical test contributes on the one hand to the qualification of tools developed for live work, and the other hand to investigative tests allowing the development of working methods for working methods for working on a live structure for all LV, HVA and HTB voltage domains
- Contribution to standardization in the filed of live working particularly at the level of IEC/TC 78 5 (Live Working). The laboratory may also called upon develop test methods. It contributes to drafting of the main standards in the filed of live working such as :
IEC 60900 relating to hand tools for use up to 1000 V alternating current and 15000 V direct current
IEC 60855 relating to insulating tubes filled with foam and solid insulating rods
IEC 60832-1 relating to insulating poles and adaptable tolls
IEC 60895 relating to conductive clothing for use up to 800 KV nominal alternating voltage and +/- 600 KV direct current
Carrying out electric field measurements at 50Hz, magnetic induction as well as static magnetic field measurement.
These Electomagnetic Field (EMF) measurements linked to the electricity transmission network aim to respect :
The decree of May 17, 2001 setting the limit values for public exposure to electromagnetic fields (published in the Official Journal of June 12, 2001,
Or Directive 2013/35/EU of the European Parliament and of the Council of 26/06/2013 concerning th minimum health and safety requirements regarding the exposure of workers to risks due to electromagnetic fields.
These EMC measurements can also originate from external requests.
IEC 61786-1 et -2 is the standard according to which the above measurements are carried out.
